About JV Manufacturing POD Sapphire

GE and Rosneft, Russia’s largest oil company, are partnering on an industrial shipbuilding cluster in Far East, Bolshoi Kamen. This deal brought our strategic partnership with Rosneft to a new level by moving into joint manufacturing and expanding the program for localization of advanced oil and gas and marine engineering technologies in the Russian Federation.

GE and Rosneft develop ship-building projects of the Zvezda Shipbuilding Complex in Primorsk region. Partnership between the companies provides for construction of a plant for ship steerable thrusters manufacturing as well as an enterprise, producing marine electrotechnical equipment.

Location: Bolshoy Kamen, Primorsk region

Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with the General Director provide overall leadership and expertise for the full scope of the Human Resources function;
  • Drive Human Resources activities and related processes: recruiting and staffing, payroll coordination, employment and contractual obligations, on boarding, terminations, strategic organizational design, compensation and rewards and recognition, training and development;
  • Execute on LLC «POD manufacturing plant Sapphire» recruiting plans, manage the retention issues and ensure appropriate application of any non-solicit obligations between the JV partners;
  • Lead Human Resources Operations and assist and coach the LLC «POD manufacturing plant Sapphire» General Director and senior staff with talent assessment, coaching, leadership skills development, career planning, employee relations, employee performance management, retention, employee learning and engagement and organizational effectiveness;
  • Represent LLC «POD manufacturing plant Sapphire» with national and local officials, government agencies or any Industry related organizations;
  • Lead Industrial Relations activities the site, if/as necessary, representing the legal entity in works-council sessions and other union meetings.
  • Drive HR operations ensuring the full compliance with local regulations, employment and labor law requirement. Serve as the primary point of contact for receiving all reports on matters of interest for potential violations or failures to maintain compliance with Applicable Laws;
  • Deal with any external supplier or Human Resources related services provider to ensure the required level of operations.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Human Resources, Industrial and/or Organizational Psychology, or a related discipline in which business knowledge and an understanding of human resource practices are acquired.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in an HR Generalist role in manufacturing companies (plant experience) with responsibilities such as recruiting, employment and contractual terms, compensation, benefits, employee development, employee relations, performance management.
  • Additional work experience in multinational companies considered a plus, with fluency English working language.
  • Deep knowledge of local labor laws, government requirements and union relation regulation at manufacturing facilities.
  • Expert in building and working with HR administration systems and management processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Russian and English.
