IPM FEB RAS was established on July 1, 1988 on the basis of the Applied Mathematics Department of the Computing Center of the Far Eastern Branch of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR The Institute conducts research in the field of theoretical and applied mathematics in accordance with the Charter of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
